Midterm exams are near, are you ready? Midterm exams begin on Friday, January 12th and run through Thursday, January 18th. Midterm exams count for 10% of a student’s final course average. While the grade will not affect marking period averages, it does impact final course grades (and projected grades) which are utilized in calculating GPA, Honor Roll & credit promotion to the next grade level. Final exams will also count as 10%, with each marking period grade counting as 20%.
The mid-term exam schedule is as follows:
|Friday||January 12||1B & 2B||Exam 1:
*Lunch will not be served*
|Tuesday||January 16||1A & 2A|
|Wednesday||January 17||3B & 4B|
|Thursday||January 18||3A & 4A|
A few important reminders about our exam schedule:
Students will only report for scheduled exams. Busses will run normal schedules in the morning and will pick up at 11:25pm. Students on campus will report to their assigned rooms for class.
- Students who report to school that do not have a midterm will go to that class (ex: study hall)
- Students must remain in class the entire testing period unless they receive a pre-approved ED
- Exams must follow the above schedule-exams will not be allowed to be given early/off-schedule without seeking approval from Dr. Voshell
- Make up exams due to verified absences must be done during the afternoon of the half-days and at the convenience of the teacher; students who are sick (with note) may seek approval for a grade change
The third marking period will begin on Friday, January 19th. New student schedules will be printed and given out during 2A on January 16th as many students will have new semester courses to attend. Students will also have a half day on January 26th (dismissal 11:25 am; no lunch).
